Style Roulette...Luisa, München

I am working togehter with Lusia for a side project. Therefore I met her at Sendlinger Tor  in Munich for a sightseeing tour and of course...doing some shots.

For me fashion is something great to show your personality and passion to other people and to reflect your mood and feelings to the outer world in form of different designs, patterns and colours. Fashion can be so many things for different people because everyone has their own taste and "sense of fashion". Although I think style is more important since Edna Woolman Chase once said: "Fashion can be bought. Style one must possess." So it's really important to find your personal style and to not be afraid of trying something different and crazy as long as you feel comfortable and it's real.

My personal style
really depends on my mood and the weather. But most of the time I would describe it as a mixture of "Hippie-Chick" and a little rock'n'roll. Even though I really love ruffles and feminine dresses and skirts and SHOES!! ;) The higher- the better I might add.

Hohenzollernring...Heji, Köln

I shot this 2 months ago, but I forgot to share it with you...sorry! Nevertheless I think it's worth to post. I can remember that the reason I took this photo was her bag. The animal print just caught my eye.

Frauenkirche...Kerstin, München

On Saturday I walked through the inner-city of Munich and surprisingly I ran into Kerstin of Mademoiselle Roy. Sometimes it's crazy, because I shot her recently in Berlin. You can find the photos here. The world can be really small...see you next time in London my dear! ;-)

Style Profile...Nahna, München

I met Nahna of Nahna Loves Fashion yesterday at Rotkreuzplatz in Munich for taking some pictures and doing a Style Profile. You should really check out her blog. I love her style!

Describe your personal style…

I would describe my personal style as a girlish mix of vintage, modern and DIY with a slightly dark view, ethereal touches and punk-rock influence. I love to mix and match. What doesn’t belong together is changed until it fits surprisingly well.

Source of inspiration?

Blogs and blogs and blogs and blogs and blogs. I know this is not the most innovative answer. However, what can be found on fashion blogs cannot be replaced by any print magazine anymore. Of course, it is also inspirational to watch people in big, metropolitan cities and I guess that the music I am listening to is influencing me as well.

Style icons?

Gala Gonzales, Adeline Rapon and Alexa Chung.

Any fashion rules?

Only one: Don’t be afraid! Don’t think about what others think! Don’t be mainstream and uniform! – Wear what you like and what you think fits you best!

Most underrated item in womenswear?

Backpacks. I was so happy of their latest revival because they are that practical but still so chic.

Thoughts about style and fashion in Munich…

Munich is a hard one. Sadly the populace in Munich is pretty boring and uniform. You can find well dressed people, but they do not dominate. It seems as if people were kind of afraid of what others could say if they would dress too fashionable. Therefore, it is easier to stay uniform and not attract any attention. However, Munich is also always good for big surprise. So we'll see …

Favorite stores in Munich?

In Munich I always recommend famous vintage warehouse Kleidermarkt and small designer place Parke6 in the Westend.

Favorite place to have a night out?

One and only place-to-be: Blumenbar! (Thalkirchnerstr. 10)

Favorite café in your neighbourhood?

I love the small Café Marais in Westend and of course Aroma in Glockenbachviertel.

Your favorite place in Munich…

The canal close to the castle of Nymphenburg, our beautiful Gärtnerplatz of course, the Isar and chilling in the wonderful Hofgarten.
